There is a very slight continuation here of the Pavilion, a classical rotunda sometimes called the Alcove, at the Corner of Syon Park, and the skyline beyond. Offsetting of the columns and entablature from the heavy pencil in the main part of the drawing on folio 42 recto opposite (D17989) makes the Turner’s depiction appear more complete.
