Inverted in relation to the sheet as catalogued, large white chalk numbers have been inscribed across the bottom half of this blue piece of paper. They read: ‘2865 | 6 709 34, 30’.

The verso of this sheet is catalogued under the entry for Tate D24603 (Turner Bequest CCLIX 38). There are light brown marks along the bottom edge of the sheet.
