This slight study shows a group including apparently including a man stooping to address a girl in a short cape echoing the one worn by the woman beside her. They may have been observed at the seaside (see the Introduction for other examples of such recreational scenes), although the drawing is slight and the significance of the object or structure to the left of the figures is not immediately clear.
