Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, the whole page is taken up with seven lines of about five or six words each except for the fourth, which seems to comprise one complete word; they are continuous from the shorter lines on the fragment to the left opposite (D41227), which feature capitalised first letters suggesting a draft of verse. Many words are illegible, but a tentative attempt at the whole passage is given below, with the gutter indicated by vertical strokes:

With [...] | [... ?Strength]
This ... | [... ?when] the Lover lost
