Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, Abbeville’s Church of Saint-Wulfran is seen from the south (showing the liturgical east end with the twin north towers beyond). The viewpoint is in the vicinity of the modern fire station on Avenue du Rivage.
The subject is discussed under another view, on folio 48 recto (D35571).
Technical notes:
There is some brown staining at the gutter, possibly indicating water damage in the 1928 Tate flood.
