At the top is a coastal view with buildings, under which there may be a note relating to St Leonards-on-Sea, adjacent to Hastings in East Sussex. The drawing continues on folio 91 verso opposite (D35651).
Below, the other way up, is a rapid view of a harbour and cliffs, presumably on a Channel coast; it is also continued on the opposite page, where a lighthouse is seen. See the sketchbook’s Introduction for the many slight coastal views scattered through it.
