Turner filled this page with sketches of the riverside terrain of the Loire Valley. Notes between the second and third drawings from the top of the page record that some of these vistas were caught around the neighbouring villages of La Possonière and Savennières. The windmills in the three sketches as the bottom of the page, which are inverted in relation to the drawings above, have been identified with La Pierre Bécherelle at Épiré, located some two miles upstream of Savennières.1
