Turner filled this page with sketches of the terrain and buildings around the confluence of the River Loire and the River Maine. A note above the second sketch from the top of the page identifies the scene as the riverside village of La Pointe. The bottom two sketches have been identified as distant views of the city of Angers on the River Maine.1.
