The present study of a pink deer, presumably one of those present in Petworth Park, was made on the verso of D22716 (Turner Bequest CCXLIV 54), a sunset scene. For other sketches of deer catalogued in the present section, see Tate D22667, D22669 and D22776 (Turner Bequest CCXLIV 7, 105, 114).
