Accepted by the nation as part of the Turner Bequest 1856
Turner arrived at Dordrecht on 10 September 1817 and stayed for a day and a half, making numerous drawings. The quick sketch at the top here shows the outline of the Grote Kerk, seen from the Oude Maas.
At the bottom, with the page the other way up, is a separate sketch of the stern of a barge.
