Accepted by the nation as part of the Turner Bequest 1856
Amasis was ruler of Egypt in the sixth century BC, during the twenty-sixth Dynasty of the Pharaohs. Made with the page turned horizontally, this study continues a little way onto the verso of folio 21 opposite (D03853; Turner Bequest LXVI 21).
