The group of dancers and Bard, which Turner studied in drawings both in this book and elsewhere, relates to his watercolour Caernarvon Castle, North Wales (Tate D04164; Turner Bequest LXX M),1 exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1800; see folio 18 recto (D04012).
