Finberg suggests that these are Cynfael Falls,1 but this is unlikely. Turner made drawings of waterfalls on the rectos of folios 8–11 (D01363–D01366); see also folios 47 recto and 50 verso (D01457, D41433; Turner Bequest XXXIX 93, 45v).
In 1909, at this point Finberg recorded ‘2 leaves torn out. Cf. pp. 92 and 93’;2 as he suggested, they have been replaced with the present leaf and D01457. A third was also bound in, as folio 48 (D01453; Turner Bequest XXXIX 89).
