The identification of Bayham Abbey is correctly given by Edward Croft-Murray in pencil annotations to a copy of Finberg now in Tate’s Library. For views in this sketchbook see note to folio 82 (D05699).
The leaf is stained and splashed, perhaps with raindrops.
