This is a sketch of Oranienburg Tor, one of the fourteen stone gates which fortified Berlin. Turner inscribes Oranienburg Tor as ‘Doriannburger Tor’ in his note above the drawing. The artist has also rendered a jotting of a horse-drawn cart loaded with cargo.
