This prospect of Berlin was taken south-west of the Schlossbrücke, looking towards the Cathedral (Domkirche) and the north façade of the Schloss. Turner has inscribed the notes ‘1 D[...] 2 [...]’ on one of the bridge’s piers and ‘6’ above the Schloss at top right.
