Turner filled the upper half of this page with various studies of the coastal terrain of Brittany. Amongst the subjects depicted, Tate curator Ian Warrell has identified the Bay of Morlaix, the Phare de la Lande, and the settlements of Carantec and Dourduff-le-Mer.1
