At the top left of the page is the continuation of a sketch from folio 8 (Tate D24514; Turner Bequest CCLVIII 8) of Caudebec-en-Caux on the Seine as seen from the water. Beneath is a sketch looking across the river with a tree in the foreground.1 There are further sketches of Caudebec on folios 9 verso and 14 (Tate D24517, D24526; Turner Bequest CCLVIII 9a, 14).
