Turner filled this page with views of the monuments of the city of Coutance in Normandy. At the centre of the page is depicted the gothic Church of Saint-Pierre. Inverted in relation to the sketches above, there is a drawing of the city’s crumbling medieval aqueduct at the bottom of the page. Multiple pages in this volume feature sketches of this settlement, a list of which is included in the sketchbook introduction.
