The two-arched bridge depicted here and on folios 34 verso and 35 verso (D26161, D26163) is Deuchar Bridge near the village of Yarrow in Selkirkshire. The village can be seen in the background with Yarrow Kirk and Bridge. Turner passed the bridge as he travelled from St Mary’s Loch to Selkirk on 2 October 1834; see Edinburgh sketchbook Introduction.
