This is a sketch of the Schloss Weesenstein taken from a road in the surrounding hillside. The castle is located in the Mueglitz Valley to the south of Dresden. Turner has inscribed ‘W[...]’ next to the tower. See also Tate D30901–D30916; Turner Bequest CCCVI 9a–17).
