These cursory views, rendered with the sketchbook turned upside down, show the headland on the Suffolk North Sea coast. The tower in the distance may belong to Saint Andrew’s Church at Walberswick near Southwold (see Tate D18261–D18262; Turner Bequest CCIX 53a–54).
There is also a jotting of a medieval church tower above the views of the coast. The crenellation has crumbled away at right.
