Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, the drawing continues across folio 92 verso opposite (D35653). . Dover Castle is seen to the north on cliffs above the harbour; compare the 1822 watercolour Dover Castle from the Sea (Museum of Fine Arts, Boston).1
