The four sketches on this page depict mountainous landscape views taken from various points on the road between Rome and Florence. The details are too rough to be identified but an inscription near the top of the sheet suggests that one scene at least represents a view near Foligno, a town in Umbria approximately fifteen miles south-east of Perugia.
