This page contains four sketches as follows:
i. (main sketch) Looking along the shore of Lake Geneva to a church, possibly from above Chillon towards Villeneuve, or in the vicinity of Montreux.
ii. (left, drawn with the page upright) A thumbnail sketch of the same church as in (i), from a closer viewpoint.
iii. (immediately above main sketch) Profile of mountains at the head of Lake Geneva. This sketch is slightly confusing; it seems not to be in its correct place, possibly the continuation of the main sketch (i) to the left, but not related to (iv).
iv. (above right) Hills on the north shore of Lake Geneva near Montreux; the continuation to the left of the distant sketch of Chillon on the opposite page (D29116; Turner Bequest CCXCIII 43).
