Drawn across this page and continued on folio 31 (D27020) is a sketch looking east towards the bridge over the Upper Falls of Foyers. Behind the bridge are a pool and weir, and the waterfall flows beneath the bridge and towards Loch Ness. The bridge is depicted again on folios 40 and 40 verso–41 (D27033, D27034–D27035). A sketch on folio 31 verso (D27021) was made from the bridge.
Turner visited Foyers during a scheduled stop on his steamboat journey north up Loch Ness towards Inverness (see folio 40 verso; D27034 for references).
