These slight sketches show the town of Kobern from various aspects. The uppermost view takes in both the Oberburg, the Chapel of St Matthias and the Niederburg, while the lowermost sketch is a study of the latter of these castles from a closer vantage point. Turner pictures the Moselle at Kobern in the central sketch, including some of the local buildings and houses which line its banks.
