Finberg considered this to be a view of Loch Awe, and suggested a connection with a drawing in the 1801 Tummel Bridge sketchbook (Tate D03228–D03229; Turner Bequest LVII 26a–27).1 Any similarity between the two subjects is difficult to discern.
