This is the left half of a two-part panorama of Mont Blanc from Chamonix, looking over the Plan d’Aiguille to the Aiguille du Midi at the centre and continued to the right on D29084; Turner Bequest CCXCIII 27, opposite. The view is similar to that on the preceding double-page spread, D29081–D29082; Turner Bequest CCXCIII 25a–26, but from a lower viewpoint in the town.
