There is a slight continuation of the subject on folio 31 verso opposite (D02514). This is one of a series of views of Morpeth Castle Gatehouse; see under folio 28 verso (D02509).
Turner used this drawing as the basis for the Liber Studiorum engraving published in 1809 (Tate impressions: A00952, A00953); his watercolour design for it is Tate D08126 (Turner Bequest CXVI Y).
