With the sketchbook turned horizontally, Turner filled much of this page with riverside vistas. The larger drawing in the bottom half of the page was taken at Nantes and shows the shipping and buildings of the Quai de la Fosse. The pages of this volume feature many depictions of Nantes, a list of which is included in the sketchbook introduction.
