The details on this page are part of a view of the Bay of Pozzuoli which has spilled over from the opposite sheet of the double-page spread, see folio 70 (D16043; Turner Bequest CLXXXVI 68). The vista looks north-west across the plain of Bagnoli and this side depicts the hills which border the landscape to the north and east.
