This sketch may show the Biesbosch, an area of wetland and forest on the River Merwede near Dordrecht. During Turner’s tour of this region sawmills operated on the banks of the Merwede at Biesbosch; these are presumably the towers and buildings depicted here (see Tate D32514, D32516; Turner Bequest CCCXXI 37a, 38a).
