These sketches show aspects of two churches in Rotterdam, now demolished. At left is the dome and cupola of the Church of St Dominicus and at centre, the tower of the Walloon Church (see Tate D32444, D32453; Turner Bequest CCCXXI 1, 5a. The pediment of St Dominicus is also rendered at top centre. In a separate sketch at right Turner has also depicted two figures.
