This view of Salzburg looks down the Salzach towards the Staatsbrücke at centre, with the old town and Michaelstor at left. ‘Michael Gate | Thor1’ is inscribed on the building. The Müllnerkirchecan be seen in the distance beyond the bridge. Reflections from buildings on the opposite side of the Salzach are depicted at right, with the Kapuzinerberg, located on this side of the river, continued in instalments numbered ‘2’ and ‘3’ at top right. The Kapuzinerberg monastery and fortifications are visible. A crucifix, part of the Stations of the Cross situated on the ascent to Kapuzinerberg monastery, can be seen near a turret at top right.
