This is the left part of a double-page spread continued to the right on folio 4 recto (D11448) opposite, recording the view south to Semer Water and Countersett from the Bainbridge road. Panning around to the left on this page, Turner’s drawing includes a detail of the profile of the summit of Addleborough at the left. The present writer has dated Turner’s sketches of Semer Water to Friday 26 July 1816.
