With the page turned vertically, there are three typical sketches of shipping on the River Thames in London, down-river of St Paul’s Cathedral; its dome is seen in the middle drawing and in the bottom one, inverted near the gutter. The subject is unusual for the present sketchbook, as most of its river views are in the Isleworth and Richmond area; see the Introduction.
