This page was used as a double-page spread with folio 19 verso (D26473) for six sketches of Inveraray on Loch Fyne from the north. At the top is the continuation of a view of Inveraray from the north-east along Loch Fyne. Beneath is a view north from near Loch Shira past Garron Bridge to Dubh Loch, and just beneath the bridge there is another depiction of the structure from the south, as part of a view of Duniquoich Hill on folio 19 verso. Third down is the continuation of a sketch of Inveraray and the castle from the north, and at the bottom of the page is another sketch of Inveraray Castle as seen from Garron Bridge. For a fuller explanation of the sketches, more information about Turner’s visit to Loch Fyne in 1831 and references to his other sketches of it, see folio 19 verso.
