Accepted by the nation as part of the Turner Bequest 1856
Turner depicts the spire of the medieval Church of Our Lady (Pfarrkirche Liebfrauen) at bottom left and beyond it, the ascent towards the Castle Schönburg. The lower part of the Liebfrauenkirche continues onto the folio opposite (Tate D28473; Turner Bequest CCXC 62).
