These views show the Danube around St Nikola and Struden. With the sketchbook turned horizontally, the view at top right shows the Wirbel, a whirlpool on the Danube, with Hausstein Island and its ruined watchtower at right and St Nikola in the background. Below is a sketch of the Hausstein and its tower.
With the sketchbook turned turned to portrait format, but inversely relative to the foliation, the sketch at centre shows Wörth Island with Struden in the background. Above it it is a view of the Wirbel and Hausstein with St Nikola in the distance.
