Made from the hill above Tobermory Harbour to the south, this sketch shows buildings on the hillside and looks north-east across Tobermory Bay and the Sound of Mull to Calve Island and the coast of Morvern. Tobermory Harbour itself is not included in the sketch, though it can be seen in a very similar sketch on folio 44 (D26825). Turner made a number of views of Tobermory from this point; see folio 1 verso (D26749).
