Not previously listed or described, this sketch is similar to the inscribed view of Trévoux facing it on folio 34 of this sketchbook (D04426). Turner passed through Trévoux between Mâcon and Lyon. David Hill has speculated that this would have been on the last day of July, several days out of Paris.1
