For the old Servoz road, from which this view into the Contamines valley and towards the route to the Col du ‘Bonhomme’ – identified by David Hill in correspondence with the author1 – was taken, see inside front cover and folios 1, 54 and 55 of this sketchbook (D04393, D04449, D04450). Further sketches from the road in the book are listed under the last of these.
