The south side of St Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna, is depicted with the sketchbook turned upside down relative to the foliation. This is a continuation of a view rendered on the folio opposite (Tate D31455; Turner Bequest CCCXI 20a).
With the sketchbook turned in accordance with the foliation Turner also depicts a distant view of Vöcklabruck and a sketch of Schöndorferkirche at Vöcklabruck, inscribed ‘V[...]’ ‘Volemb[...]’. See also Tate D31451, D31462; Turner Bequest CCCXI 18a, 24.
