A sketch from the same viewpoint in the Yorkshire 4 book (Tate D11457; Turner Bequest CXLVII 10) was made on the same visit. and effectively continues the panorama to the right to include Aysgarth and Wensleydale. The present author has dated this sketch to Sunday 28 July 1816.1 It has previously been mistakenly grouped with sketches of Aysgarth.2
