Continued on folio 79 of the sketchbook (D07717), this is view of the Stade looking west towards Hastings Castle. Turner used the same viewpoint in his watercolour of a Fish Market at Hastings made in 1824 (Hastings Museum and Art Gallery).1 For views around Hastings in this book, see Introduction.
