Tate Archive TGA 8132
Presented by Mrs Andrina Tritton in 1981, from the estate of her mother, Mrs Andrina Schweder, the sister of Walter Sickert's second wife Christine Drummond Angus (c.1877-1920)

Two pairs of trousers, three jackets and one painting bag owned by Walter Sickert are in the collection of Tate Archive (TGA 8132). Both pairs of trousers and one of the jackets bear the initials ‘W.S.’ and the bag is embroidered ‘SICKERT’. The jackets and trousers are made of linen and some have mother of pearl buttons that are inscribed in Italian ‘Sartoria Pietro Pozzi’ (Pietro Pozzi Tailors), which suggests that Sickert bought those overalls when he was in Venice. The items were previously catalogued as having been used by Sickert in Dieppe and Envermeu after 1912.
