In the current foliation of the sketchbook this sketch rests between views of Winchelsea from the direction of Hastings and others of Richmond Hill. The latter subject seems most likely to this writer. There is a track or road in centre foreground, perhaps Nightingale Lane as it descends towards Petersham.
