For Bonneville see especially folio 46 of this sketchbook (D04440), which has a sketch of mountains probably extending those seen here towards the right, and also folio 48 (D04443). Turner made two larger drawings in his St Gothard and Mont Blanc sketchbook (Tate D04599; Turner Bequest LXXV 7, and D04608; Turner Bequest LXXV 16).
