David Hill, in correspondence with the author,1 has identified this view, which is of a very similar prospect towards the Pointe Percée as that on folio 60 of this sketchbook (D04457). The inscription refers to the Tour de St Michel, near Servoz, for which see folio 1 (D04393) and also folios 62 and 63 (D04459, D04461). For another view of the Pointe Percée, taken from near Geneva, see folio 4 (D04396).
